Gregory J. Meiman- Vice President-Human Resources at LG&E.
Meiman was promoted to his current role in 2016. Previously, he served as LG&E and KU’s director of Corporate Tax and Benefit Plan Compliance, senior counsel and executive plan specialist, and senior corporate attorney. He joined the company in 1996.
Throughout his tenure, Meiman has provided counsel on complex legal issues related to employee benefit plans, compensation programs and taxation. Additionally, he has provided counsel on numerous significant tax matters and corporate transactions, including the KU Energy Corporation merger, as well as the Powergen, E.ON and PPL acquisitions.
Before joining the company, Meiman served as tax and benefit counsel for Providian Corporation, and began his career as an accountant with a regional accounting firm.
Meiman has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Louisville, and a juris doctor degree from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law.
Alejandro Vela - Product Manager Built-In Refrigeration GE Appliances a Haier Company.
Alejandro joined GE in 1992 via GE Medical Systems Mexico, where he was promoted into various roles in FP&A and Treasury. In 1996 he was promoted to the position of Finance Manager for GE Supply’s Mexico operation, a role that enabled him to establish the proper network to get the opportunity to relocate his family to a different country. In 2001 he was promoted to GE Support Services as the Finance Manager of AE with responsibility over $400MM of revenue. From there he obtained his promotion to an Executive level with GE corporate becoming Risk Manager for Latin America. After 2 years he joined GE Consumer and Industrial as the CFO Latin America where he managed a P&L of +$500MM of Revenue and +$85MM of Op Profit. In this role, he led a team of 100 employees throughout countries such as Mexico, Brazil, and Chile among others. His last role in Finance was the Finance Manager for Supply Chain for GE Appliances. He led 40+ employees and managed $4B of cost annually.
He graduated from Universidad del Valle de Mexico- Licenciatura Accounting.
Betty Dunham - CEO of Rauch, Inc.
Bettye is currently the CEO of Rauch, Inc. in New Albany, Indiana, a nonprofit organization that supports people with disabilities through services including early childhood intervention therapy, employment, housing, day activities and ASL, Spanish and other foreign language interpreting services. Rauch, Inc. serves approximately 1000 individuals in Southern Indiana and over 4,000 individuals through the interpreting services in both Indiana and Kentucky. Bettye is also the CEO for The Rauch Foundation which operates as an endowment for Rauch, Inc. Prior to coming to New Albany Bettye worked in Columbus, Indiana for 19 years in the human services field and before that in New York City and Melbourne, Australia.
She is also involved with Rotary International, has served as District Governor and is currently in a district leadership position. Bettye has a BA in Business Administration from the University of Alabama and resides in Elizabeth, Indiana.
